Campo Grande neighbors engage in physical altercation over construction debris

A dispute between neighbors in the Jardim Leblon neighborhood of Campo Grande escalated into physical violence on Saturday. The conflict began when a 58-year-old woman complained that construction debris from a nearby renovation had damaged an acerola tree in her yard.

The confrontation involved multiple individuals, including the 47-year-old neighbor, her 25-year-old son, and the complainant's 50-year-old husband. During the altercation, the 25-year-old man sustained injuries requiring treatment by the Fire Department and was taken to the UPA Leblon. Reports indicate a relative of the neighboring family allegedly punched the woman during the fight.

During the police response, a 33-year-old man arrived at the scene and reportedly insulted officers, claiming to have influential connections within the Freemasons and the police force. The incident has been registered by the Civil Police as intentional bodily injury, contempt, and physical assault.
