Campo Grande awards Edson Contar Trophy to tourism professionals

The 7th Tourism Showcase in Campo Grande featured the presentation of the Edson Contar Trophy, an award designed to recognize individuals and initiatives that strengthen the local tourism sector.

Promoted by the City Hall of Campo Grande through the Municipal Secretariat of Environment, Urban Management, and Economic, Tourism, and Sustainable Development (Semades), the event aims to foster dialogue regarding future trends and successful industry experiences. The initiative aligns with the Municipal Tourism Plan, focusing on cultural, gastronomic, nature, and rural segments.

Originally established in 2007 by the Brazilian Association of Tourism Bachelors of Mato Grosso do Sul (ABBTUR/MS), the trophy serves to preserve the history of the sector while honoring professionals who have demonstrated innovation, research, and management excellence in recent years. This year's trophy was custom-designed by local artist Cybele Almeida.
