Campo Grande opens registrations for 39th School Games

The Municipal Sports Foundation (Funesp) has opened registrations for the 39th edition of the Campo Grande School Games 2026 – Stage 1. The competition includes collective modalities such as basketball, futsal, handball, and volleyball, divided into two age categories: Category A (born 2010–2012) and Category B (born 2013–2015). The event aims to select student teams to represent Campo Grande in the state stage and potentially represent Mato Grosso do Sul at the national level.

In related school sports news, students from Escola Sesi in Campo Grande played a significant role in the Mato Grosso do Sul Youth School Games. Six students from the school were part of the Campo Grande women's selection (ages 15–17) that won the state title after defeating Dourados 3–0 in the final. The team won all five of its matches without dropping a single set. Individual honors were also awarded to Sesi athletes Maria Clara Chagas and Yasmin Benites during the tournament.
