Campo Grande reports improvement in primary health care indicators

Health indicators in Campo Grande show significant progress in primary care during the first four months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. Data presented at the Convergência APS 2026 event indicates that the number of health teams classified as 'regular' dropped from 61 to 28.

Of the 227 family health teams evaluated, 69 achieved an 'optimal' classification and 55 reached a 'good' level. Ana Paula Resende, superintendent of the Primary Health Care Network at Sesau, noted that 218 teams are currently performing at a 'good' level or higher, with a goal to have 100% of teams classified as 'good' or 'optimal' this year.

Municipal Health Secretary Marcelo Vilela emphasized the importance of transparency and documenting the daily work of these teams. Moving forward, the primary care network will focus strategic efforts on three priority areas: pregnancy, child development, and oncology prevention.
