Campo Grande expands road repairs, health services and traffic changes
The municipal government of Campo Grande intensified post‑rain recovery work, filling more than 6,300 potholes across several neighborhoods and applying around 800 tonnes of asphalt to improve road safety.
A mobile diagnostic unit now provides up to 120 examinations per day, offering ultrasound and tomography services to residents.
Economic data for the first half of 2026 show a net gain of 3,541 formal jobs, driven mainly by the services sector and construction projects.
On Sunday, the city’s transport agency blocked key streets—including Rua 7 de Setembro and Rua José Antônio—for the “Agosto Lilás: Corra Por Elas” run, a women's‑violence awareness event, while keeping public‑transport routes open and suggesting alternative detours.
The municipality also opened a public consultation on the planned Hospital for the Elderly, inviting suggestions on traffic and urban‑infrastructure impacts before a September hearing.
