Campo Grande school promotes literacy through traditional play

The Profª Leire Pimentel de Carvalho Corrêa Municipal School in Jardim Colibri is hosting ‘Play Week’ from September 22 to 26. The initiative uses traditional games as a learning tool to support literacy and integral development.

Supported by the Campo Grande Municipal Education Secretariat (Semed), the program includes workshops for families and activities led by art educators. During the event, 100 families will receive educational kits containing pedagogical materials and a children's book. The school is also set to receive a new space equipped with pedagogical toys.

A highlight of the week is the launch of the book ‘O Baú de Brincadeiras da Vó Elza’ on September 26, which features traditional games from Mato Grosso do Sul.
