Campo Grande starts R$5.3 million paving and drainage works in Jardim Centenário
The municipal government of Campo Grande signed a service order on Thursday, 30 May, to begin a six‑month infrastructure program in the Jardim Centenário neighbourhood. The R$5.3 million project will lay asphalt on major streets such as Baliza, Barra da Corda, José da Silva, Caxiuanã, Granada, Itabirito, Morro do Chapéu, Ribeirão das Neves, Seis de Outubro, Tabajara and Xanxerê, and install concrete‑block (paver) surfacing on side streets Fonte Nova, Mineirão, Morenão, Pinheirão and Serra Dourada.
Additional works include 232 metres of drainage galleries to improve rain‑water flow, and the construction of more than 12,000 square metres of accessible sidewalks. The improvements are expected to reduce flooding, enhance safety and mobility for residents, and increase the value of the neighbourhood.
