Brazil road updates: Fatal accident on BR-163 and regional maintenance

Various road-related incidents and maintenance works are occurring across Brazil. In Mato Grosso do Sul, a fatal head-on collision between a Ford Ranger and a truck on the BR-163 in São Gabriel do Oeste resulted in the deaths of a father and his two daughters.

In Campo Grande, Agetran has announced temporary traffic interdictions in the Bandeira and Prosa regions between September 8 and 11 due to social events. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes such as Júlio Pereira and Belmira Pereira de Souza streets.

Infrastructure projects are also underway elsewhere. In Araquari, DNIT is implementing 'stop and go' operations on the BR-280 for bridge beam installation and asphalt paving. Additionally, Morro da Mesa Concessionária is performing preventive maintenance on 60 kilometers of the MT-130 highway, including micro-surfacing and new signaling to improve safety between Rondonópolis and Primavera do Leste.
