Brazil road closures and traffic disruptions reported across multiple states
Various regions across Brazil are experiencing significant traffic disruptions due to scheduled events, infrastructure maintenance, and construction projects.
In Goiás, Goinfra is implementing road restoration on the GO-020 and installing a new pedestrian walkway on the GO-070 in Goiânia, involving overnight and early morning closures. In Campo Grande, Agetran has announced closures for the Okinawa Festival and Children's Day celebrations.
In Minas Gerais, DER-MG is blocking an access point on the MGC-356 near Nova Lima to prevent illegal mining activities. In Pernambuco, DER-PE will implement total closures on the BR-232 for a walkway installation near the Curado hospital. Additionally, the SP-255 in Avaré is undergoing maintenance on the Carvalho Pinto Bridge, utilizing a 'stop and go' system through December.
Other notable disruptions include the 'Outubro Rosa' race in Juiz de Fora, affecting public transport and the UFJF ring road, and the 'Circular' cultural event in Belém, which will close portions of Rua Siqueira Mendes to pedestrians.
