Campo Grande's Paço Municipal Reopens with Wendel Fontes Art Exhibition

The Arte no Paço cultural project resumed this week in Campo Grande, Brazil, launching a new visual‑arts exhibition by painter Wendel Fontes. The show is installed on the second floor of the Paço Municipal and features paintings that recall various stages of childhood, drawing on memories, games and everyday moments.

Fontes, originally from Rio de Janeiro and resident in Campo Grande since 2018, has previously exhibited at the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Mato Grosso do Sul (MARCO), the UFMS Visual Arts Gallery and the Bonito Winter Festival, among other venues. The municipal government promoted the reopening to broaden public access to local artistic production. The exhibition is free to the public and open Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
