Campo Italian Bistro & Bar to Close After Five Years in Scottsdale

Campo Italian Bistro & Bar, an upscale Italian restaurant in Scottsdale's McCormick Ranch, will cease operations after its final dinner service on Friday. The venue, located at the northwest corner of Hayden Road and Via de Ventura, opened in June 2021 under James Beard Award‑winning chef Alex Stratta and is part of the Genuine Concepts restaurant group.

Stratta has since departed to open Belmont Kitchen & Cocktails, while Genuine Concepts' culinary director Jeremy Pacheco oversaw Campo until earlier this month. The restaurant was known for antipasti, house‑made pasta and pizzas, and the announcement invited patrons to enjoy a last week of weekday specials. After closing, the space will be offered to a new tenant, and many staff members will transfer to other Genuine Concepts locations nearby. Community members expressed disappointment, recalling the venue as a favored spot for celebrations and first dates.
