Campo Novo do Parecis inaugurates elderly care facility

The municipality of Campo Novo do Parecis has inaugurated the Amália Barros Long-Term Care Institution (ILPI) to provide care, security, and quality of life for the elderly population requiring institutional support. The ceremony was attended by the Public Ministry of Mato Grosso, including Prosecutor Luiz Augusto Ferres Schimith, municipal authorities, and civil society representatives.

In addition to the new elderly care facility, the municipality is expanding social protection policies for children and youth. This includes the implementation of the 'Família Acolhedora' (Foster Family) program, which offers temporary placement for children and adolescents removed from their homes due to rights violations. This program aims to provide a safe environment and family coexistence while multidisciplinary teams manage the necessary legal and social proceedings.
