Campo Novo do Parecis to host inaugural FIT Etno Brasil tourism fair

Campo Novo do Parecis will host the first edition of the FIT Etno Brasil – International Ethnotourism Fair from September 4 to 6, 2026. The event aims to highlight the cultural, natural, and economic potential of Mato Grosso, specifically focusing on the traditions and tourism potential of indigenous peoples.

Organized by the Mato Grosso Commerce System (Fecomércio-MT, Sesc-MT, and Senac-MT) in partnership with the local municipality, the fair will feature the Paresi people, whose history is central to the region. The program includes cultural presentations from traditional indigenous groups and the Flor Ribeirinha Folk Group, alongside gastronomic displays and technical panels on tourism and hospitality.

Key figures expected to attend include the Minister of Tourism, Gustavo Feliciano, and Sebastião Gonçalves, president of Sistema Comércio-MT. The event seeks to position the municipality as a national destination for sustainable experiences, including agrotourism and ethnotourism, while fostering professional training and strategic partnerships.
