Campobasso announces four-day sports event for local clubs

The city of Campobasso has announced a four-day sports initiative titled ‘La città riparte dallo sport’, scheduled to take place from Tuesday, September 8, to Friday, September 11. The project highlights two prominent local sports teams: the La Molisana Magnolia women's A1 basketball team and the EnergyTime Spike Devils men's A3 volleyball team.

A sports village will be established near the San Giorgio statue in the city center from September 8 to 10. The event will feature three-on-three basketball and volleyball courts, amateur tournaments, and open days for the teams' youth academies. Additionally, information points will be available for citizens to learn about youth programs and purchase season subscriptions.

The announcement was made during a press conference at Palazzo San Giorgio, attended by Deputy Mayor Giose Trivisonno and Youth Councilor Giovanna Viola. The event also marks a homecoming for the Spike Devils, who will play their home matches at PalaVazzieri this season.
