Campobasso-Bojano Industrial Consortium faces legal appeal

The mayors of Campochiaro and San Polo Matese have filed an appeal with the TAR Molise regarding the governance of the Campobasso-Bojano Industrial Development Consortium. Simona Valente and Tonino Spina stated that the legal action aims to ensure transparency, rule adherence, and proper representation of the member municipalities.

The appeal challenges deliberations made on June 24, 2026, concerning the election of the Consortium's President and Steering Committee members. The mayors allege that the session violated statutory provisions because only four of the ten General Council members were present, failing to meet the absolute majority of six members required for a second call.

Additionally, the mayors highlighted that on June 22, 2026, the Molise Region revoked the previous extraordinary commissioner and appointed Angela Aufiero as the new commissioner with management powers until December 22, 2026. The municipalities have requested a judicial evaluation of these circumstances to protect the economic and productive development of the territory.
