Campobasso honors journalist Giuseppe Tabasso on his 100th birthday

The municipality of Campobasso is honoring veteran journalist Giuseppe Tabasso on the occasion of his 100th birthday. To mark the milestone, Mayor Marialuisa Forte will travel to Rome to personally present Tabasso with a small statue of San Giorgio, the patron saint of Campobasso.

Tabasso, a Commander of the Republic since 1992, has had a distinguished career spanning over half a century. His work has included roles as a special foreign policy correspondent for Rai's GR3, a parliamentary editor in Strasbourg, and a collaborator with international outlets such as the BBC and Deutschlandfunk. He has also contributed to various Italian publications, including Paese Sera and L’Europeo.

In addition to his journalistic work, Tabasso has authored several books, including ‘Il Molise, che farne?’ and ‘Fare un giornale, diventare giornalisti’, which serve as guides for aspiring reporters. He has also received birthday greetings from Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
