The Molise region in Italy has been selected to host the 2028 Senior Raffa Bocce World Championships, with Campobasso serving as the primary venue. The decision was made unanimously by the Board of Directors of the International Bocce Confederation (CBI) during a meeting held in Brazil.

The Italian candidacy was officially presented by Roberto Favre, President of the Italian Bocce Federation, in collaboration with Giuseppe Formato, President of the Molise Bocce Federation. The assignment marks the first time the region will host a World Championship event.

Officials noted that the event is expected to provide a significant promotional opportunity for Molise and Southern Italy, attracting athletes, technicians, and international delegations. The project was described as a collaborative effort involving local institutions, sports entities, and regional partners.
