Cuiabá launches municipal security personnel training program
The Municipal Secretariat of Urban Mobility and Public Safety in Cuiabá is concluding the final three phases of a capacity‑building course for municipal security guards. A total of 798 employees will be trained in batches of about 80 participants, with a new cohort starting every three days. The program, part of the 2025‑2028 quadrennial plan, covers topics such as interpersonal communication, conflict mediation, crisis management, operational communication, first aid, patrimonial security techniques, data‑protection law, and human‑rights protocols. Secretariat officials highlighted that the training aims to improve preventive policing, standardise procedures, and promote ethical conduct and human‑centred service. The courses are delivered by qualified instructors from public safety agencies, and the curriculum will be repeated throughout the quadrennium to maintain professional standards for the city’s patrimonial vigilance staff.
