Campos dos Goytacazes launches property registration update program

Property owners in Campos dos Goytacazes have until October 31 to participate in the ‘Regularize 2026’ program. The initiative, led by the Municipal Finance Secretariat, allows taxpayers to voluntarily update information regarding constructions, expansions, or changes to properties that have not yet been reported to the city.

According to municipal officials, the program provides legal security for those wishing to update their data before new municipal surveys using aerial imagery are conducted. While the program facilitates self-declaration, it does not offer amnesty, debt forgiveness, or tax discounts. The ISSQN tax on construction will still be assessed in full, though payments can be made in up to 12 monthly installments.
