Campos dos Goytacazes taxi program reaches R$ 1.35 million in credit

The Fundetáxi program in Campos dos Goytacazes has reached a milestone of 27 financed vehicles, with a total of R$ 1.35 million in credit released to local taxi drivers. The initiative is managed by the Campos Development Fund (Fundecam) under the “Lei do Táxi” (Law No. 9.577/2024), which has been in effect since February 2025.

Under the program, professionals can access up to R$ 50,000 in credit with a repayment period of up to 48 months and an annual interest rate of 2%. The acquired vehicle serves as the guarantee for the loan. The program aims to reduce bureaucracy and provide taxi drivers with improved working conditions, security, and profitability.
