Camposoto Beach swimming channel reopens in San Fernando

The San Fernando municipality has reopened the swimming channel at Camposoto Beach for the 2026 summer season. The dedicated lane, located at access number 1, provides a safe, marked route for open‑water swimmers separate from general beach areas and rescue vessels. The reopening ceremony on Monday featured local officials, including Sports Councilor Antonio Rojas and Beach Councilor Javier Navarro, as well as members of the swimming group Brazadas x Diversión, which advocated for the facility and is led by José Blas Virués.

The initiative replicates a similar program from the previous summer, responding to growing demand from local athletes and clubs. Early participants took advantage of favourable conditions to complete the first swims of the season, highlighting the community’s increasing interest in open‑water swimming at this coastal site.
