Campus Hörakustik experts attend Arab Hearing Health Conference in Amman
Experts from the Campus Hörakustik in Lübeck, Germany, participated in the 12th Arab Hearing Health Conference (AHH 2026) held in Amman, Jordan. The event serves as a major gathering for hearing aid specialists, audiologists, and ENT doctors across the Middle East and North Africa.
Jakob Stephan Baschab, Director of the Academy for Hearing Acoustics (afh), presented on the potential and limitations of teleaudiology. He noted that while teleaudiology can supplement care and patient management in regions with geographic service gaps or limited resources, it cannot replace initial diagnostics or the fine-tuning of hearing systems.
Boris Ricking, Vice President of the Federal Guild of Hearing Aid Specialists (biha), introduced the Auracast Bluetooth standard. This technology allows a single transmitter, such as a public announcement system, to broadcast audio directly to an unlimited number of hearing aids and receivers, enhancing accessibility and hearing comprehension in public spaces.
