Campus Wien launches E’SPRESSO digital teaching community

The Hochschule Campus Wien’s E’SPRESSO project, funded by the City of Vienna, ran from September 2022 to July 2026 to strengthen university‑wide teaching discourse, especially for part‑time lecturers. The initiative offered short, online “espresso” sessions that combined a brief introductory video with a moderated discussion, lowering participation barriers.

Across eleven events (ten regular rounds and one compact session) about 80 lecturers took part, covering topics such as AI‑enhanced learning, digital exam formats, teaching portfolios, and accessibility. The project also expanded the Campus Connect platform with comment functions, a discussion forum, a newsletter and the Eye‑Able accessibility tool, and it delivered its first trans‑continental ESPRESSO session in collaboration with international partners.
