CAMRA publishes 2027 Good Beer Guide

The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has released its Good Beer Guide 2027, featuring 4,500 pubs, 1,700 breweries, and 5,000 beers. The guide, which includes a foreword by author Sir Ian Rankin, is compiled through an independent evaluation process by volunteers.

Alongside the publication, CAMRA is calling for a formal investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority into the UK beer market. The organization aims to address the dominance of global brewers and the impact on independent producers. Recent data indicates a decline in the sector, with 137 breweries closing compared to only 57 new openings.

In the Bewdley and Stourport regions, several establishments were recognized, including The Bewdley Brewery Tap, The Great Western, Old Waggon & Horses, The Real Ale Tavern, The George Hotel, The Black Star, and The Hollybush.
