Camryn Manheim draws attention for remarks about son's sexuality

During the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) 2026 National Dinner, actress Camryn Manheim drew attention for remarks regarding her son, Milo Manheim, during an award presentation for Marcia Gay Harden.

While presenting Harden with the Ally for Equality Award, Manheim made comments expressing that she had hoped her son would be gay. She noted that despite his interest in musical theatre and having photos of him in drag, he is the only straight man in his musical theatre company. Manheim remarked that when Harden shared that her own children identify with the LGBTQ+ community, she told her friend, ‘Oh my god, you are so f**king lucky!’

Milo Manheim is a 25-year-old actor known for his role in the Disney Channel ‘Zombies’ franchise and his appearance on ‘Dancing with the Stars’. He was conceived via sperm donation from a friend of Manheim.
