CAMSA enters insolvency proceedings with 13 billion peso debt
The Compañía Argentina de Merchandising (CAMSA), a manufacturer of commercial displays and furniture for major food and beverage brands, has filed for preventive insolvency proceedings. The company reported liabilities totaling 13,029.7 million pesos against assets valued at 5,383.6 million pesos.
Based in La Tablada, Buenos Aires province, the firm employs 185 workers and is currently facing difficulties meeting salary and social security obligations. The company attributed its financial crisis to a sharp decline in orders from supermarkets, kiosks, and warehouses due to a broader economic recession.
CAMSA also cited rising costs for raw materials, energy, and labor, alongside competition from imported goods and a lack of available financing. Major clients listed in the judicial filing include PepsiCo, Arcor, Quilmes, Grupo Peñaflor, CCU, Cepas Argentinas, and Pernod Ricard.
