Camuzzi to complete Las Armas compressor plant in Argentina

The Argentine government announced that Camuzzi Gas Pampeana will complete the Las Armas compressor plant through private investment. This project is intended to expand the capacity of the Gasoducto de la Costa and improve gas supply for more than 40 localities in the Buenos Aires province.

Presidential spokesperson Adrián Ravier stated that the company will invest over 6 million USD, with the goal of finishing the works before the winter of 2027. The plant, located in the Maipú district, will feature two motor-compressors with a total power of 2,400 HP. This infrastructure is expected to optimize operations for both the Gasoducto de la Costa and the Tandil–Mar del Plata section, benefiting approximately 650,000 people.

The project had previously been stalled following the suspension of public works and changes in financing. Rather than constructing a new pipeline from scratch, the focus is on completing the pending compressor plant to allow existing expansion works to operate at higher capacities.
