Camuzzi urges safe gas use to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning this winter in Argentina

Camuzzi, Argentina’s natural‑gas distributor, launched a winter safety campaign to curb carbon‑monoxide poisoning as households increase use of stoves, heaters and other gas appliances. The company warned that carbon monoxide is an odorless, colorless toxin and highlighted five key habits: keep ventilation grilles clear, ensure appliance flames stay blue, never use burners or ovens for heating, ventilate every room daily even in cold weather, and maintain clean, unobstructed gas exhaust ducts.

Camuzzi also noted that proper appliance operation not only reduces health risks but improves energy efficiency during peak demand. Symptoms of possible poisoning include headache, dizziness, nausea, sleepiness and weakness; anyone experiencing them should open windows, leave the premises and seek medical help.
