Can-Am unveils 2027 off-road vehicle lineup and new concepts

Can-Am has unveiled its 2027 off-road vehicle lineup, featuring significant updates to its existing side-by-side (SSV) and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) models. Key developments include the Defender HD10, which will transition to a new 80-horsepower Rotax three-cylinder engine, alongside redesigned chassis and suspension systems.

The Maverick R lineup is receiving a second-generation Rotax dual-clutch transmission across all models, including an ‘Extra Low’ gear for technical terrain. Other technical upgrades include standard integrated window nets, stiffer steel-braided brake lines, and improved suspension bushings.

In the utility segment, the Traxter 6x6 XU HD10 is now available with tractor homologation, allowing for road use between worksites and farms. Additionally, BRP showcased two concept models: the Defender Prerunner, a 6x6 remote race support vehicle, and the Maverick R Xray, which features an industry-first exoskeleton structure. The company intends to release major off-road product news every six months for the next four years.
