New nail products from the Japanese retailer Can Do are enabling users to create trendy “texture mix nails” at a low cost. For 330 yen each, the specialized gels include “clay gel,” which allows for three-dimensional shaping using a silicone tip, and “terracotta gel,” which provides a matte, grainy finish similar to unglazed pottery.

By combining these unique textures with standard nuance nail techniques, users can achieve sophisticated, high-end designs at home. While the clay gel can be difficult to handle and may require extra time to manipulate, the products offer a cost-effective alternative to professional-grade specialty gels.
