Can Gio sea reclamation project shows significant construction progress
Construction is progressing at the Vinhomes Green Paradise sea reclamation urban area in Can Gio. After more than a year of work since its commencement on April 19, 2025, the project is transitioning from a desolate coastal area into a developing urban landscape.
Spanning 2,870 hectares, the project is designed to accommodate a population of nearly 230,000 people. It aims to function as a smart city, high-tech service hub, and tourism destination, with the capacity to host between 8 and 9 million visitors annually.
Visible developments include the emergence of modern townhouse rows, many of which have completed exterior work such as painting and glass installation. Infrastructure progress includes the 12 km long, 120 m wide 'Dai Lo Thoi Dai' main traffic axis, which features thousands of newly planted trees. Additionally, commercial shop houses are being constructed within the 122-hectare VinWonders area.
