Can Tho Boosts Tourism Ties with South Korean Partners
Vietnam's southern city of Can Tho is expanding tourism cooperation with South Korean partners. The city highlighted its attractions – the Cai Rang floating market, orchards, traditional craft villages, local cuisine and cultural festivals – and pledged to develop high‑quality, sustainable and smart tourism offerings, including eco‑tourism, MICE and digital experiences. The initiative aligns with Vietnam's broader shift toward an integrated tourism ecosystem, as showcased at the 20th International Tourism Fair in Ho Chi Minh City, which draws over 520 exhibitors.
Can Tho also seeks to promote its tourism potential in the Thai market, with support from Vietnam's embassy in Thailand. Officials emphasized the role of green, responsible travel and the use of digital tools to enhance visitor experiences while reducing carbon footprints.
