Can Tho construction director prosecuted for tax evasion

Võ Tấn Đạt, the Director of Thành Đạt Civil Construction and Mechanical Co., Ltd., has been criminally prosecuted for tax evasion in Can Tho City.

According to the Can Tho City Police investigation, Đạt used fraudulent invoices from Vương Bình Construction Investment Co., Ltd. and Việt Nhật Steel Production & Business Exploitation Co., Ltd. to record non-existent business expenses. These actions were intended to reduce the amount of value-added tax and corporate income tax owed to the state budget.

Authorities have determined that the total amount of evaded taxes and lost state budget revenue exceeds 2 billion VND. Đạt has been placed under a restriction on leaving his place of residence while the investigation continues.
