Can Tho police arrest man for snatching 30 million VND necklace

Police in Hung Phu Ward, Can Tho, have detained Vo Van Tien following a snatch theft incident on September 14. The suspect approached a woman exercising on Street 37, forcibly took a platinum necklace with a diamond pendant valued at approximately 30 million VND, and pushed her to the ground.

Tiền confessed to the theft, stating he committed the crime to pay off debts. He subsequently sold the stolen jewelry at a gold shop in Ninh Kieu Ward for 27.55 million VND. Authorities have seized the evidence.
