Can Ventosa Municipal Library closes for expansion works

The Can Ventosa Municipal Library in Ibiza has announced a temporary closure from October 6 to October 15 due to ongoing expansion works. This marks the second temporary closure in just over a month, implemented for health and safety reasons related to the construction site and crane operations.

The expansion project, which has a budget of 2.7 million euros, is part of a strategic modernization plan for the city. The works aim to quadruple the space dedicated to musical activities, increasing it from 300 square meters to over 1,200 square meters across two additional floors. The new facility will include six classrooms, two rehearsal booths, and administrative offices.

During the closure, users are directed to the Can Botino Library in Dalt Vila. Book returns can be made via the external mailbox at the Can Ventosa building, and digital library services remain available.
