CANACAR National Convention 2026 opens in Cancún

The CANACAR National Convention 2026 commenced on October 4 at the Moon Palace in Cancún, Quintana Roo. Organized by the National Chamber of Freight Cargo Transport, the event brings together approximately 1,500 transporters and business leaders from across Mexico to discuss innovation, security, and the future of the freight sector.

During the convention, Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa announced the launch of a new digital platform designed to streamline cargo permits within the state. The platform aims to transition permit processing to a 100% online system, reducing the turnaround time from 43 days to just five days. Lezama stated the initiative is intended to simplify procedures, reduce costs, and eliminate corruption by removing the need for physical paperwork.

The convention agenda includes sessions on cybersecurity in the age of AI, customer service excellence, and dialogues with federal authorities regarding road safety and infrastructure.
