Canada Announces Flag Football Rosters for World Championships

Canada’s national flag football teams have released their rosters for the upcoming world championships, the first opportunity to qualify for the sport’s Olympic debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Games. The top two teams outside the United States in each competition will secure spots for the Olympics, with additional berths to be decided at the 2027 IFAF continental championship and the 2028 Olympic qualifier series.

Key players include quarterback Sara Parker and rusher‑cornerback Marc‑Antoine Dequoy, both highlighted as captains. The women's squad features defensive backs Mikaëlle Azar and Laurence Caron from Montreal, among others, while the men’s lineup lists captains Antony Auclair and Guillaume Beland alongside halfbacks Anthony Brisebois and Maxym Lavallée. The selections underscore Canada’s aim to compete for Olympic qualification.

The rosters were published by The Canadian Press on July 23, 2026.
