Canada earns gymnastics silver medals at Commonwealth Games in Glasgow
Canada's gymnastics squad secured multiple medals at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Félix Dolci of Laval captured silver in the men’s all‑around with a score of 79.450, just two tenths behind Scotland’s Reuben Ward, and topped the team competition that earned Canada gold on Friday.
On the women’s side, the Canadian team claimed silver behind Australia, with Quebec‑born Lia‑Monica Fontaine contributing a strong performance despite a mishap on the uneven bars. Fontaine said, “C’était moins bien un peu, mais ça nous a poussées à mieux faire pour les trois engins qui nous restaient.” The team’s overall effort added to Canada’s tally of one gold, two silver and two bronze medals at the Games.
