Canada Issues 589 Provincial Nominee Invitations in August 2026 Express Entry Draws

On August 4, 2026 Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a federal Express Entry draw targeting candidates with a provincial nomination. The draw issued 507 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) and required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 768.

Alberta’s immigration program ran two priority‑sector draws between July 16 and July 21, 2026. The province invited 82 workers—56 for construction and 26 for agriculture—through its Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) Express Entry stream, setting the highest cut‑off scores recorded this year (536 for construction, 295 for agriculture). Alberta reports that, to date in 2026, it has invited more than 10,800 candidates for provincial nomination across all its streams.
