Canada Life appoints Maik Braun as Director Sales in Germany

Canada Life Assurance Europe plc has appointed Maik Braun as Director Sales for its German operations, effective October 1, 2026. Braun, who brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance sector, will report directly to Chief Distribution Officer Dr. Frederick Krummet.

Braun joins from Allianz, where he held various leadership roles in sales, market management, operations, and digital sales control. In his most recent role, he managed collaborations with sales partners, broker pools, multiple agents, and InsurTech companies.

Through this appointment, Canada Life aims to accelerate its growth in the German market by focusing on modern distribution structures, digitalization, and enhanced partnership models. The company intends to improve the integration of sales and service while developing more partner-oriented solutions for brokers and customers.
