Canada named Country of Honor for BIX 2026 biotechnology convention

BIOPLUS-INTERPHEX KOREA 2026 (BIX 2026), South Korea’s largest biotechnology and pharmaceutical convention, will take place at COEX in Seoul from October 28 to 30. Supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources, the event is expected to feature over 300 international companies.

Canada has been named the Country of Honor for the 2026 event, with a delegation of approximately 30 biotechnology and healthcare companies participating. A dedicated Canada Pavilion will showcase various technologies and businesses.

The convention will highlight emerging trends such as ‘Food as Medicine’ and brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. A featured session will include a live demonstration by Dion M. Kelly, Co-founder and CEO of the Canadian firm Possibility Neurotechnologies, focusing on the future of human-technology interaction through BCI.
