Canada Nickel Company secures new financing for Crawford nickel project in Ontario
Canada Nickel Company announced a CAD 6.21 million flow‑through private placement and an exclusive mandate for a potential US $600 million tax‑credit financing to support the Crawford nickel‑sulfide project in the Timmins‑Cochrane district of Ontario. The financing comes as the project moves through an advanced permitting stage and targets the development of a western source of nickel, cobalt and iron with a potentially low carbon footprint.
The company highlights growing long‑term demand for nickel in stainless steel, batteries, defence and infrastructure, while short‑term prices are influenced by Indonesian ore‑grade developments. By securing new capital, Canada Nickel aims to position Crawford as one of the world’s largest developed nickel‑sulfide projects and to meet projected primary nickel demand through 2040.
The announcement was released in a promotional market communication prepared by JS Research GmbH on behalf of the company.
