Canada Nickel Extends $32M Loan Repayment to November 2026
Canada Nickel Company Inc. (TSXV: CNC) announced that the repayment deadline for its $32 million loan from Auramet International Inc. has been pushed back from August 9, 2026 to November 9, 2026. CEO and board member Mark Selby said the extension reflects continued support from Auramet and aligns with the company's expectations for completing several financing initiatives.
In connection with the extension, Canada Nickel will pay an extension fee of $856,288 and grant Auramet 5.5 million options to purchase common shares at $1.52 each—a 5 % premium to the five‑day VWAP on July 27, 2026. The 3.5 million options previously issued at $1.81 per share are being cancelled under TSX Venture Exchange rules. Both the loan extension and the new options are subject to exchange approval. The company is awaiting a federal permit decision and is targeting a construction permit in 2027. Auramet, founded in 2004, is a global precious‑metals dealer that has provided more than $1.5 billion in financing to various partners.
