Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced a 100 million Canadian dollar ($71 million) aid package for Palestinians to support a two-state solution. Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, Carney specified that 80 percent of the funds are designated for direct humanitarian aid, while the remaining 20 percent will support peace and security initiatives, including the training of Palestinian police in the West Bank.

In addition to the aid, Canada signaled its intention to implement trade restrictions on goods produced in Israeli settlements in occupied territories. Carney criticized the E1 settlement project as a threat to peace. This move aligns Canada with 11 other states that have announced similar trade measures.

French President Emmanuel Macron also addressed the United Nations, criticizing the global community for the lack of humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza. Meanwhile, parliamentary documents in Canada revealed that several Canadian-funded aid projects in Palestinian territories have been damaged or destroyed by the Israeli military and settlers.
