Canada ranks 10th in global intelligence study
A new global intelligence report by TradingPlatforms has ranked Canada 10th out of 80 analyzed countries. Canada’s ranking places it eight spots ahead of the United States, which ranked 18th. Singapore secured the top position, followed by the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
The ranking was determined by aggregating several metrics, including data from the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), per capita high-quality scientific publications, and average IQ scores from the International IQ Test.
While Canada recorded its lowest-ever PISA scores in 2025, it remained above the OECD average. Canadian students showed particular strength in science, scoring 510 points. In terms of scientific output, Canada ranked 6th in total volume and 18th when adjusted for population. The United States leads in total scientific papers but fell to 23rd when measured per capita.
