Canada routs Qatar 6-0 while Switzerland defeats Bosnia in World Cup group stage

Canada recorded its first World Cup victory by beating Qatar 6-0 at BC Place in Vancouver. Jonathan David scored a hat‑trick, with additional goals from Cyle Larin and an own‑goal, giving the Canadians a dominant performance. In the same group, Switzerland defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1 in Los Angeles. Goals came from Johan Manzambi (two), Ruben Vargas and captain Granit Xhaka, while Ermin Mahmic scored Bosnia’s lone goal.
