St. Paul healthcare advocates meet with Alberta health minister
Advocates for bringing a CT scanner to St. Paul, Alberta, have met with Provincial Minister of Hospital and Surgical Health Services Adriana LaGrange to discuss the project. The St. Paul & District Hospital Foundation has already raised $1 million toward the goal of installing CT imaging at the St. Therese–St. Paul Healthcare Centre.
MLA Scott Cyr accompanied foundation leadership to the meeting in Edmonton. While the minister inquired about the proposal and its impact on regional healthcare delivery, no provincial funding commitment has been made. LaGrange noted that any future investment must be weighed against provincial budget constraints and other community healthcare priorities.
