Canada women's volleyball team defeats United States in Nations League

Canada's women's volleyball squad recorded a historic 3-0 victory over the United States at the Nations League match in Quebec City. The Canadians won the sets 25‑22, 25‑22 and 30‑28, marking the first time the North American rivals have been beaten by Canada in this competition. Opposite hitter Kiera van Ryk led the attack with 17 points, while Alexa Grey contributed 14 and captain middle blocker Emily Maglio added 13.

The win followed a four‑set loss to Germany the previous day, improving Canada's record to one win and one loss. The United States, a perennial powerhouse with Olympic medals in the last five Games, were stunned by Canada's comeback performance. Canada’s next matchup will be against France later in the tournament.
