Canadian cannabis firms Cronos Group and Aurora post record earnings

Cronos Group Inc. reported a record second‑quarter 2026 net revenue of $53 million, a 58% increase from the prior year, and net income of $35.7 million after a loss the previous year. Growth was driven by higher cannabis flower sales in Israel and Germany and stronger flower and extract sales in Canada. Gross profit nearly doubled to $28.5 million and gross margin rose to 54%. The company ended the quarter with about $827 million in cash and short‑term investments and repurchased 12.3 million shares.

Aurora Cannabis Inc. posted first‑quarter 2027 net revenue of C$67.6 million, with international medical cannabis sales up 17% year‑over‑year, primarily from Germany. About 64% of its revenue now comes from outside Canada, up from 50% a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA fell to C$3.4 million and adjusted net income to C$3.8 million. The firm finished the quarter with roughly C$150 million in cash, no debt, and is prioritising further expansion in Germany, Poland, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
