Canadian communities host annual fall fairs

Various Canadian communities are hosting annual fall fairs to celebrate agricultural heritage and foster community resilience.

The 169th edition of the Meaford & St. Vincent Fall Fair took place on September 5 at the Fair Grounds and Curling Club. The event showcased local livestock and produce, highlighting the region's agricultural roots and the involvement of local youth in farming traditions.

In Summerland, the annual Fall Fair is scheduled for September 12 at the Museum and Arts Centre Park. This year's event holds particular significance as a gathering for community healing following the Bald Range wildfire. Organizers stated the fair aims to provide an opportunity to uplift residents and support local growers and businesses impacted by the summer's fires.
